Golden Sugar's Cookies

Last weekend Sugar's Mom made her some cookies that featured some of my favorite ingredients. Apples and Peanut Butter! After some persuasion, I convinced my Mom that this cold and gloomy day was the perfect day to try the recipe.

The ingredients are simple:

Mom had some applesauce spillage, and I helped her with the clean-up:

Next you put teaspoons full on the baking sheet and squish them just like human style peanut butter cookies:

Pop them in the oven for 30 minutes:

The last step cracks me up every time! My Mom tries to get me to sit, so she can take a handsome picture like Augie and Ti's Mom does. As you might recall, I was an obedience school drop out and am not a canine good citizen either. I particularly find it difficult to behave when something new and delicious is my Mom's hand. So I scarf it from her at a high rate of speed that renders her defenseless, and leaves her with a picture like this:

Well, Sophie wasn't an obedience school drop out, but she DID get kicked out of doggy daycare once for being too much of a "wallflower". Great post! I love all the reference you've made within the post.

I'm ashamed to admit that I've never made cookies for our dogs. Perhaps I will try these but not until they have shaped up a bit after the lazy summer.

OK, Kimba has never been to any school, but he's a good boy and does deserve some yummy food like your cookies other than his dog food.

My sister Sophie is not what you call a dainty eater, my Mom & Dad would be lucky if they could get any photo of her with food.
