Comfort and Joy?

It is that time of year again, when I am baffled by the humans antics. As soon as Mom starts hauling the red and green boxes from the basement I know odd behavior will ensue. It is starting a little early this year because my Mom can't take any vacation time to prepare for Thanksgiving guests. I immediately put on my serious face, knowing the show is about to begin.

The most upsetting part of the experience is when she puts some holiday decorations on the mantle. Some of these things are stuffies - and I don't even get to hold them in my mouth. Every time I walk by I stare, but the humans just can't take a hint.

Finally, Mom starts assembling the fake utterly realistic Christmas Tree. Despite carefully testing all of the lights before stringing them on the tree, when she plugged them in -- half of the lights were out. Comfort and Joy turned ugly so I took matters into my own paws.

You owe me Santa!!

Grouchy time! Grouchy time! Glad you helped out to fix those lights. Yuh, we have stuffies that come out during the holidays that we can't play with. What the heck?

Oh, dude! Where do I start? I mean, you look FANTASTIC in lights, but the stuffies? That is just CRUEL. I've got the SPCA's number on speed-dial if you'd like it. Crazy humans! Since my parents are in the House With Wheels for this silly green and red holiday, they don't do anything. (Except that Mom might put up some lights... But as we've established, the lights are cool, when they work.) And yeah, Santa totally owes you!

Farley - getting ready for Christmas already! You've instilled a real sense of panic in this household which hasn't even recognized that it's only a month away!

You are a good boy Farley -- I never get to help with the holiday stuff. Something about my destructive behavior..... what does that mean?

Let's think of a way to get to those stuffies...
Your mom should be so glad that you were there to help her. Humans, they don't always know what they are doing.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Farley!
