Free Raffle - Kong Braidz Dog Toy!
Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 05:56PM
The folks at Kong introduced 3 new characters to the Braidz line of toys and sent us a few samples. We are going to share one of them with our readers (and give one to Farley's sister Lucy, since I tried to steal all her toys). If you want to enter yourself in the drawing, leave a comment by 9:00 AM Eastern Time on Saturday, March 13th. We'll do the drawing and announce the winner then.

Here is how adults describe them: Made with soft, strong material that is tightly braided for strength, the new Gecko, Frog and Snake BraidZ maintain the title of cutest tug toys on the market. KONG BraidZ are made with minimal stuffing for minimal mess, and the stretchy and tough weave helps floss and clean teeth during play. Each toy also has a squeaker for added excitement. These new BraidZ are available in assorted colors and small, medium and large sizes.

Here is how Farley describes them: Toy? For me? I love toys!! Nom, nom, nom... DELICIOUS! It's perfect :)

P.S. Yes, I am wearing my Comfy Cone. I have a hot spot on my tail, and it is terrible. (Most dogs get them on their face, but for some reason 90% of the time mine are on the tail). Mom let me take the cone off for my first few pictures, but I immediately start chewing at it -- so the cone is back.

Sorry to see you in the dreaded cone. I get hotspots at my tail as well. Usually n the summer after I do a little illegal lake diving and "someone" doesn't dry me all well enough - fast enough. (You know its NEVER our fault).
Please enter me in your drawing - I love new toys! - Abbey

It's been waaaaaaaaay too long since I last visited and am so sorry I am such a sorry commenter! I'm also sorry to see you in a cone, suffering from tail hotspots. Those are horrible. I got one last summer on my front knee and it took forever to heal - and it was soooo tiny too! Hope it heals up furry soon. Those fun braidzee toys should keep you furry busy until you can get rid of those itchy tailspots!
Hugs xo

Sorry to hear about your tail. We've never had hot spots before but any reason to wear the cone is never a good thing!

It's so nice of you to give away much loved "new" toys. I only give Scout my used toys myself. If we win "mom said" we would like you to give the new toy to GRREAT in Virginia for Skye, he was hit by a car and rescued by GRREAT. Mom thinks maybe we have tooooo many, I counted and don't think so - but did agree Skye might like the toy just as much and he can't enter this alone.
Those lampshades are really annoying; sorry you have to wear it - but you look good. Not every dog can pull it off as well.
Thanks and hope your hot spot gets better.
Noah and Scout (I'll give credit to Scout as well as he does everything I do)

We LOVE your blog and so enjoy catching up on your day to day adventures! You've even inspired us to start a blog for our new addition, Annie! Annie will be with us in 2 weeks and she would sure love to have a package on the front door when she arrives home with us! :-)

So sorry about the hot spot. Augie has gotten them a few times on his face--we're pretty sure it's because Ti grabs him there while they are horsing around, he scratches it, and there ya go. We heard from other golden owners about a prescription spray called Betagen that is supposed to be fantastic on hot spots. We got a bottle but hope to never have to try it! You might want to ask about it if Farley's hot spot hangs around--Augie's have always been really stubborn. Hugs to Mr. F!

So sorry about the cone - I HATE the cone.
