How Hot Is It?

You might look at this picture and think that our lawn is dead. There is actually a very good explanation for that. IT IS DEAD! You might also look at this picture and think, Farley looks parched and about to pass out from the heat. That is no joke.

However, I will now leave you with some hot jokes. Farley: "It is sooooo hot outside." Blog Friends: "How hot it is it?"

• It is so hot, I saw a fire hydrant begging a dog to pee on it.

Yeah, our lawn has reached that 'scorched earth' look, too. It's been in the mid-90s the last few days for us, and since we are in the mountains (our house is right at 7000 feet), we don't have air conditioning because it doesn't usually get this hot. Our walks have been shortened, Mom is sticking ice cubes in our water dishes, and Abby and I only do zoomies before the sun reaches above the mountains and after it sets. The rest of the time we sit around and pant and beg Mom for Kongs filled with frozen things!
